Newton Road Awning Extension

Aliro’s tenant at their Newton Road facility in Wetherill Park was expanding to the point they required an awning extension to the rear of their site for additional storage. Engine Room ran the design team to maximise this awning from a fire engineering, planning, structural and trafficable perspective. The resulting design exceeded the initial requirements from the tenant but allowed Aliro to maximise the functionality of their site.

Throughout the construction period, the site would remain live and would only lend itself to staged delivery avoiding the frequent truck movements onsite, this would prove most difficult with the reinforcement of the existing slab but again, with precise coordination and programming, this would be managed closely with the tenant.
