Gardens By The Bay

The Gardens by the Bay, Marina East Gardens project in Singapore was the second stage to the Marina West Gardens, with a total value of $320 million.

The project aimed to redevelop and restore this neglected part of the foreshore creating a vibrant, inner city, waterfront venue for recreational activities, framing the city skyline, showcasing aquatic and horticulture garden craftsmanship as well as efficiently using water and energy creating a sustainable environment.

The project included extensive infrastructure works including a crossroad extension and the construction of the Marina Coastal Expressway, the integration of a canal lock, construction of a boathouse and lifestyle Centre, amphitheatre and numerous restaurants and cafes, as well as undertaking extensive landscaping to the 22 hectare site.
