Mezyad Desert Park and Hotel project was initiated by the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage. The project included the creation of a national park with the regeneration of previously degraded land at the foot of the Jebel Hafeet mountain range.
The project involved project management of all facets from inception, design and delivery with both a London, UK based design team and an Abu Dhabi based delivery team.
A 7 star hotel will be developed as part of the project to provide luxury accommodation at the park
A visitors centre that will include administration facilities, exhibition centre and restaurant/café.
Currently undergoing assessment to be certified a UNESCO world heritage site
Includes tombs and significant heritage ruins in Al Ain
The site spans an area of 10km x 4km
