Westpac required the internal demolition and rebuild of 4 floors at 55 Market Street to suit the individual team requirements for occupancy. As part of the leasing agreement with Investa and inline with their planned refurbishment of all services and occupied areas, Westpac also engaged the project team to carry out an integrated base building package of work to the male & female bathrooms, shower & lift lobby.

Both the base building and fit out works were completed concurrently ensuring no delay to the floor fit out works that included a new server room to each floor, kitchens, meeting rooms and workstations for over 100 employees per floor.

The construction works to each floor included supply and installation of ECS energy lighting control system that was to be intergrated in the buildings BMS system. As well as new service works for Mechanical, electric and hydraulic, walls, electronic security doors, internal glazing, varying floor finishes, joinery, electrostatic painting works, new ceilings, lights, furniture, DATA and phones to individual server rooms on each floor that then had to be cabled through the entire buildings riser to centralise the running of from one main server room. All of these works were completed within accelerated tight programs ready for use as per the client’s needs.
